Born and reared in the home,(we don't have kennels) they are well socialised with people and other animals, they act like puppies should, playfull, happy and full of fun.
They learn to play with toys from an early age, They run around the house as soon as they are large enough to play with (terrorise) the other dogs. They learn that the garden is a place for play and sunbathing or getting wet. They learn that people are their friends not just someone that they see at feed times, and that cuddles are great, they can lick them, chew on ears and pull hair, great fun. Most of all they enjoy growing up.
As we don't breed lots of puppies just for profit we can spend time playing with and socialising them, if there's any arguing we can hear what's going on and go up to their room and issue orders, not that it makes a lot of difference, kids will be kids!!.
We visit their room every time we have to go upstairs unlike others that only see the puppies when they need to feed or muck them out |
